26 October 2014 – PARIS – World’s third-ranked tennis hero Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the Paris Masters tournament next week for “personal reasons.” Paris Masters organizers informed to the reporters that Nadal has express his inability to play the tournament and not given any specific reason.
The organizers did not elaborate.
Nadal was playing in the quarterfinals of the Swiss Indoors in Basel on Friday, his third tournament since Wimbledon, when a wrist injury curtailed his schedule. The Spaniard also needed treatment for appendicitis this month in Shanghai, CHINA.
U.S. Open champion Marin Cilic and Ernests Gulbis also withdrew. Cilic has a right-arm injury and Gulbis a right-shoulder injury.
The three will be replaced by Pablo Andujar of Spain, Jerzy Janowicz of Poland and Vasek Pospisil of Canada.
For the heavyweight fans of those star players to see battling in Paris Masters would be a little blow this time but its all about game and they would be back to court soon. Wish them for their fast recovery from their injuries.
