A man from Rautahat district who sustained serious injuries after being beaten up by Indian border security personnel Sunday without any apparent reason has been rushed to Birgunj for further treatment.
Madan Prasad Chandrabanshi, a local of Banjaraha VDC-7, Gaur was seriously injured when Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) personnel mercilessly thrashed him up while he had gone to his field which falls near the Nepal-India border.
Following the incident, Chandrabanshi was rushed to a hospital in Gaur for treatment, but the doctors there said that his injuries were too serious to be treated in the poorly equipped hospital.
It was not immediately clear why the SSB personnel manhandled Chandrabanshi, but incidents of SSB mistreatment against Nepalis in the bordering areas is pretty rampant. nepalnews.com
