27 August 2016, LALITPUR Nepal – Former Prime Minister and coordinator of the Naya Shakti Party, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, has said that rights of people ensured in the new constitution should be effectively implemented.
There are differences between parties and frequent changing of government could make difficult to implement the long awaited people’s constitution in the country, he further expressed.
Addressing a sapling plantation programme organised by the “Green Kathmandu Clean Kathmandu” Campaign and Jyotidaya Association here today, Coordinator Dr. Bhattarai said that the new constitution should be amended by addressing Tarai-Madhes agitation.
Also the former Prime Minister, Bhattarai pointed out the need of determining area of village units and municipalities by determining delineation of federal provinces.
He further said that it would be better to hold three-level election implementing the new constitution.
Dr. Bhattarai was the chair person to draft new constitution after major parties agrees to for a body inclusive members to draft and promulgate new constitution from constituent assembly back in 2014.
