JUL 25, 2012 KATHMANDU – One more Nepalese life has ended in foreign soil while seeking for better life and prosperous future.
A Nepali worker employed at a company in Chanan of South Korea committed suicide on Tuesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Om Prasad Sherchan, 23, of Syaulibang-5, Pyuthan. He had come to Korea some one and half years ago through EPS. He committed suicide by hanging himself in the office’s toilet.
According to Lachhu Sharma, colleague of Sherchan, he had taken permission from the office for sick leave yesterday morning but later he was found hanging in the toilet at around 11.35 am.
The reason behind Sherchan’s suicide is yet to be established. According to Sharma, Sherchan was not into drugs or any other bad habits and had good relation with company management. Meanwhile, police have submitted preliminary investigation report to the Nepal Embassy in S. Korea.
Reason behind so many suicide around the world by migrated workers are vary from pressure in their work place, family tension, drug and alcohol and frustration from the their own life as ambition are rising amid their success and ability.
