Indian President Arrived in Kathmandu for a 3 Day state Visit

02 November, 2016 Kathmandu  – After 18 years of Gap by a Neighboring President to Visit border-less neighbor has sparked the Himalayan state Nepal as its public sentiment are against Indian policy due to India’s interference  over its sovereignty and independence.

Leading a 36-member team,  Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has arrived in Kathmandu for a three-day state visit of Nepal following  an invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, at 12:30 pm on Wednesday.

President Bhandari has receive her Indian counterpart at the VVIP lounge at the Tribhuvan International Airport. After Receiving at the Airport, both the presidents will travel to the President’s office Shital Niwas for further talks between them and later would followed by a reception orgaised by Indian Embassy in Lazimpat, kathmandu.

State owned Nepal Television has broadcasting live of these stream.

The Indian president is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with Vice President Nanda Kumar Pun and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Hotel Hyatt this afternoon.

President Bhandari will host a state banquet this evening in honor of the visiting Indian President in her Presidential residence tonight.

Government of Nepal has announced a public holiday in honor of the visiting Indian President. As congested roads of Kathmandu are closed for several hours during visit of Indian President, Nepalese public are returning to the city after celebrating their second biggest festival Tihar, life in Kathmandu would face difficult for commuters. Indian President has scheduled to Visit Nepal’s second and touristic city Pokhara, Birth Place of Gautam Buddha Lumbini and Ram Janaki Temple in Janakpur during his visit.

At this hour, Social Media has few words being viral as Nepalese people have not forgotten the pain they \have just overcome by fuel and commodity blockade for over 6 month by India. Life in Nepal has become so critical due to fuel shortages, price hike and political instability due to Indian blockage and monopoly.
