08 April 2019 DHADING – Our world is trying to reach to the Mars and have human settlement but we are in Nepal still talking about toilets in our homes. As various NGO’s and INGO’s are playing key roll to make life better in rural area by providing assistant to better sanitization and safe drinking water.
In a recent move, A district in state no 3 of Nepal, Dhading has declared as open defecation free district where as 40 % or above household has not even functioning toilets.
Dhading declared itself an open defecation-free (ODF) district on the occasion of the World Health Day on Sunday. MP Khem Lohani declared Dhading as the 64th ODF district in a function.
Every house in Dhading had to construct a toilet to become an ODF district, said Jagannath Nepal, chief of District Coordination Committee.
As per news and event organized, all the speakers had highlighted the importance of functioning toilet in homes and sought awareness among the public to practice healthy lifestyle.
What is clear in this scenario is that, the most developed place inside the district, Dhadingbensi which is our headquarter too has several locations where we can spot open sewerage, defecated and urine smell all around.
