Bollywood Music Composer Wajid Khan Passes Away

Bollywood, The Indian entertainment Industry is loosing its most popular figures this year. Mourning continues at one of the admired Music director Wajid khan has passed away so young at the age of 42 only. His demise is a huge loss for the Indian Music lovers and industry.

According to the news surfaced this morning, Music director Wajid Khan, known for his compositions for Salman Khan’s popular movies such as ‘Wanted’, the ‘Dabangg’ franchise and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, passed away on Monday morning in a Mumbai hospital at 42 due to coronavirus complications leading to kidney issues.

His brother Sajid confirmed to news agency PTI that the musician had tested positive for COVID-19, and died of cardiac arrest. A source close to the family also confirmed the coronavirus diagnosis. “He had coronavirus infection too.

“He had multiple issues. He had a kidney issue and had a transplant a while ago. But recently he got to know about kidney infection. He was on the ventilator for the last four days, after his situation started getting worse. Kidney infection was the beginning and then he got critical,” Salim said in his statement to PTI.

Merchant also took to Twitter to express grief over the death of his ‘brother’. Wishing him safe travels, he said Khan’s death is a huge loss to the film fraternity.

Soon after the news broke, many from the fraternity took to the micro-blogging site to pay tributes.

Actress Priyanka Chopra said she will always remember Wajid’s smile.

Actress Parineeti Chopra recalls the most-beautiful memory with Wajid – singing with him under the Taj Mahal during sunset. In another post, she said that he was one of the “nicest” men in the industry.

Sajid Khan and Wajid khan, The music composer duo made their Bollywood debut with Salman’s 1998 movie ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’, and went on to work on actor’s various films including ‘Garv’, ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Tumko Na Bhool Payenge’, ‘Partner’ and the popular ‘Dabangg’ franchise.

Wajid also did playback for Salman in chartbusters like ‘Mera He Jalwa’, ‘Fevicol Se’, and for Akshay Kumar in ‘Chinta Ta Chita Chita’ from the film ‘Rowdy Rathore’, among others. He recently co-composed Salman’s songs ‘Pyaar Karona’ and ‘Bhai Bhai’, which the actor released on his YouTube channel

Wajid along with his brother Sajid served as a mentor on singing reality shows ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012’ and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar’.

The composer duo also scored IPL 4 theme song, ‘Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadaka’, which was sung by Wajid.
