29 June 2014 – San Paulo Brazil – In a terrific match between Netherlands and Mexico, Mexico has scored first goal in the first half and lead the score for up to second half last minutes. At the 87th minute of the game, Netherlands scored a goal on corner shoot and equalize the game.
Meanwhile at the extra time which was 6 minutes added due to cooling break in the match, Robben got heat by Mexican player in the D-box and Netherlands awarded Penalty shoot which lead Netherlands to the next round of the world cup 2014.
For now, Mexico is eliminated in the most heartbreaking fashion imaginable. Its players fall to the field and pull their shirts over their heads as the Dutch congratulate each other with more relief than jubilation (aside from Arjen Robben, who looks thrilled).
What an ending, as Mexico took a lead into the 88th minute then six minutes later had fallen behind en route to a defeat and another elimination in the Round of 16.
Netherlands will play either with Croatia or Greece who ever win the match later today. Congratulation to Netherlands.
