JUN 08, 2012 KATHMANDU – In a fresh clash between two different alliances of political parties in Kathmandu, An activist of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) has been critically injured in a shoot-out at Nayabazar in the Capital on Friday morning.
The injured has been identified as Basanta Shahi of Dhangadi, Kailali. He is undergoing treatment at the Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.
Shahi is Vice Chairman of Amrit Science College, ANNFSU’s, Primary Committee. He has sustained two bullets in his body, police informed. The shoot-out took place at around 8.30 this morning.
The police have been investigating the shoot-out. Meanwhile, ANNFSU has said that the incident might have taken place due to the internal conflict within the union.
