JUN 06, 2012 KATHMANDU – After 10 days of dissolve of Constituent Assembly on May 27, Nepal’s Political parties are feeling guilty of not honoring the people’s right and started new initiations to form consensus among the parties to draft and promulgate new constitution in near future.
In an interaction and press meet organized by UCPN who is the governing party and the largest as of last election, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has said that the dissolved Constituent Assembly can be given a fresh lease of life to draft the constitution if the political parties agree on the disputed issues of constitution.
Speaking at an interaction organized by the coalition partners in Hotel Yak and Yeti on Tuesday, the Maoist chairman said he had discussed with the President and leaders of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML and stressed for the need of consensus to end the present political turmoil.
He maintained that the party was ready to discuss the issues of election, revival of CA or any other option if consensus was forged on the same.
Maoist Chairman Dahal, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum- Loktantrik Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar, among others, are present in the interaction.
