APR 20, 2012 KATHMANDU – Security Personnel often caught on cases of illegal acts such as prostitution, visiting dance bar on uniform, drunk and fight with locals. The case of Colonel Raju Nepali may have the same situation however, The Nepal Army has formed a probe committee to look into the clash between Colonel Raju Nepali and locals in Nepalgunj.
A three member Court of Inquiry has been formed under the chairmanship of Brigadier General Raj Rana to probe into the incident.
Issuing a press statement on Friday, the NA directorate informed about the formation of the committee. It has stated that the NA committee has already initiated the investigation from Thursday.
A brawl had arisen between Colonel Nepali and owner of Hungry Hotel, Rajesh BK, and staff members last Monday. Colonel Nepali said that the situation arose when he went to meet a woman, whom he had given refuge. However, the door was locked from the outside as soon as he entered the room. However, the hotel owner claims that he was attacked by Colonel Nepali and his aides. He also said that they did not lock the door.
