CPN (UML) chairman Jhala Nath Khanal CPN (UML) chairman Jhala Nath Khanal has expressed confidence that the new prime minister will be elected, on consensus, before Dashain festival.
Speaking to reporters in Janakpur on Thursday, Khanal claimed that consensus among the parties would emerge by next week and the “nation will get the new prime minister by the time Dashain festival starts (Ghatasthapa on October 8 marks the beginning of the festival).
“I hope Nepali Congress will also come to an agreement in a few days,” Khanal said, “This is not time for accusing each other of creating obstacle.” Anybody who stands against consensus is an adversary to peace and constitution, he added.
The UML chairman also said he was not seeking favours from any party to take the leadership of the upcoming government. nepalnews.com
