June 13, 2012 Kathmandu – Sequel of committing suicide by Nepali actress has been repeated once again as Nepali film actress Jessica Khadka formerly knows as Jyoti Khadka has committed suicide by hanging herself to death on Tuesday morning.
Jessica Khadka, who has played various roles in more than half a dozen Nepali movies including “Jungle Love”, “Lucky Seven” and “Mero Maya Timialai” was found hanging from the ceiling at her rented room in Jhoonche, New Road this morning. Though her real name is Jyoti, the actress who was in her early 20s had changed her name to Jessica after she was involved in a sex video scandal with singer Prakash Ojha.
The small-time actress known for her “bold scenes” in movies was eagerly awaiting the release of her new movie ‘Jungle Queen’ in which she had played the role of a female tarzan. The movie was set to release on June 22.
Jessica had acted in several music videos with Ojha before getting a break in the silver screen.
The body of the film actress has been taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) at Maharajgunj for post mortem.
Police said they are investigating the case to determine whether if it was a suicide or murder. Police has also arrested film-maker Baldip Rai with whom Jessica had a conversation over the telephone at 2 am, just before she ended her life.
