How Watching Babies Learn to Walk Helps you Meet your Goals

Many of us studies in the Universities to live ourselves strong, motivates and learn the necessary life’s lessons. Do you think we can learn a lot from a toddler than from a university professor? Here is a mind changing motivational story by a person who love to travel and share his learning.

Like so many people, my career path has been an accident. I was at the appropriate place at the appropriate time. But when my 40th birthday approached, I basically reflected upon my past accomplishments and wondered what my future ones would be. As a new mom, I am chronically inspired by my son. Was present a way I could use the lessons I have academic from my son to help me bronze out my future goals? I was fascinated when my son academic to walk – he was so determined and none could get in his way and when he fell he didn’t question himself or assail himself, he just kept going. That was when I was struck by the metaphor of baby steps.  If we copied babies accomplishments of learning to walk without fear of failure, perhaps we can achieve our goals?

Building block 1: What are you aloof of ?
What are the ten belongings I am most aloof of from my childhood? When I asked in my opinion this question it was full with belongings like – conquering the doggies row race at age 5; getting the best camper award; being the first freshman on the varsity basketball team; getting a tennis scholarship; drifting to more than 8 countries before I was 12; writing a correspondence concerning pollution to President Nixon and getting a response. (I have the correspondence framed in my office – ok, so it was auto-pen)

Do you see a pattern here? Well, what struck me as funny was that the belongings I cared concerning most as a child: sports, drifting and the ambiance are still the belongings most basic to me now. So if you shaped a list of the ten belongings you are the most aloof as a child and as an adult, would you see a pattern?

Building Block 2: What makes you happy?
Let’s try one more exercise, what are the ten belongings that make you the most happy? And when was the last time you did anything on this list? Do you make time to do belongings that make you happy? And if you did do these things, would you have a sense of accomplishment?

My list forever includes dancing. Before my son, I danced foxtrot and foxtrot every week. I love to dance. But, my consort doesn’t boogie and since we have a babe and babysitting is expensive, we don’t go out that often. Lucky for me, I have a diminutive boy who loves music, so we boogie in the living room about every day, twirling and circling to foxtrot and rock and roll. Oddly enough, my son teaches me to take baby steps. He teaches me to live in the consequence and applaud every step I take – so when I boogie with him in the living room or in the supermarket, I am doing what makes me happy.

Building Block Three: What are your catchy moments?
Another one of my preferred exercises is to assume of a catchy consequence in your life. When I first did this athletics I abruptly remembered my trip to Nepal subsequent to the 1992 presidential election campaign. I trekked for 10 days in the Annapurna band and was struck by the feeling of stepping back in time – present were no cars, no electricity, and no toilets We went to sleep when the sun went down. I felt so at amity and one with nature. Can you tell a diminutive concerning my principles from my preferred moment? In less than two notes my colleagues said they thought I cared concerning the environment, politics, beauty, solitude, civilization and commute to name a few. It was amazing to me how much can be academic from a catchy moment. So what is your moment? Do you assume it illustrates your true values?

Turning the building blocks into accomplishments
All three exercises are concerning patter into your core principles and what makes you happy. In this busy world, from time to time you just need to take a consequence and live and remember what’s important. There is the saying “I will not die an unlived life.” If you take the time to practice the belongings that make you aloof and happy, you will be creating the building blocks to have catchy moments all the time.
