The last iconic date of the century – 11-12-13

I had left my parental home for further study at the grade 8,  started my first job for the Rupee 800, changed to a new job after 8 years and joined for 8000 Rupees. When i had to change my job again and went to UAE for the same 800DHS was my first initial basic salary. Most of the new clothes and new gadgets purchased on the 8th of the every month as well. Here i am talking about the days, months and year, which falls today is the last iconic numbered day for this century.

Many expecting parents and couples on the verge of tying the nuptial knot have chosen to freeze the last iconic date of the century.

Today is a day to freeze. Whether for its calender significance or the luck factor, 11-12-13 is set to be one of the most romantic days of the century, going by the manifold rise in the number of weddings planned the world over.

The once-in-a-lifetime sequential date is considered a “hot date” not only for being the 11th day of the 12th month of the 13th year of the millennium, but also for its luck factor. The sum of 11, 12 and 13 is 9, which is considered to be lucky in the Chinese culture as it means long-lasting.

No wonder many expecting parents and couples on the verge of tying the nuptial knot have chosen to freeze the last iconic date of the century as the most cherished souvenir of their life time.

In India, hospitals in most metropolitan cities are flooded with calls for delivery appointments on this special date. Wedding halls in India’s main cities were also booked up long ago.

In the US, television reports said an estimated 3,000 couples across the nation will walk down the aisle to say “I Do” on 11-12-13, making it one of the most romantic days. According to a survey, wedding bookings for today are up a whopping 722 per cent from the second Tuesday of November in 2012.

Repeating numbers such as 7-7-07, 9-9-09 and 12-12-12, have also been popular among couples. Past dates that had witnessed unexpected wedding and delivery rush include 12-12-12, 1-1-11, 1-11-11, 11-11-11 and 22-11-00.
